Police in New York received an unusual call and ultimately had to strangle the loose alpacas.
Westchester County police said the department received a report on a llama running on Kiscoa Venue Thursday morning, but it turns out to be in fact an alpaca.
“We received all sorts of interesting 911 calls and came to Como today at 10:09am,” the police department wrote on social media. “In fact, it was an alpaca that was in the rum, but it was still a pretty good early explanation compared to the people we get.”

“The Alpacas were quickly and safely concluded with the prompt response of Mirco and Rodriguez executives,” the department continued.
Police said the animal “stricken out of a trailer near Pat Riley Way’s Hotel MTK.”
The Alpaca then traveled to Kiscoa Venue near the Land Rover Dealer, and the department jokingly suggested that the animals were “trying to upgrade their rides.”

After catching the alpaca, the officers reunited it with the owner.
“I’m making speculation here, but I think there’s a child’s birthday party somewhere that went on like planned,” police said.
