Justin Blackmon looks unrecognizable in mug shot photo after arrest

Former NFL wide receiver Justin Blackmon was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with public addiction in Payne County, Oklahoma, according to multiple reports.

The previous fifth overall pick by Jaguar in the 2012 NFL Draft, 35-year-old Blackmon, whose career was derailed by an off-field incident, appeared unrecognised in the mugshot photo, which surprised fans on social media.

It showed a man with sloppy facial hair and said he was arrested at 2:17am on Saturday, April 19th.

The reported arrest came after Oklahoma announced last month that Blackmon would be introduced to this season’s Cowboy Football Ring of Honor.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 15th, when Oklahoma plays Kansas at Boone Pickens Stadium.

In 2010, Blackmon set the NCAA sophomore record by receiving a total of 1,782 yards.

The 6-foot-1, 207-pound Blackmon gave 20 touchdowns that season. This was the seventh time in history.

In 38 games in Oklahoma, Blackmon caught 252 passes for 3,564 yards and 40 touchdowns.

He finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy vote in 2010.

He had an outstanding rookie season after the Jaguars traded with the Buccaneers and selected Blackmon on the fifth pick in the 2012 draft, talliing 64 catches with 865 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Blackmon’s career was quickly ruined by multiple arrests in alcohol and drug-related cases.

Blackmon was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame last year.
