‘Full House’ star Dave Coulier learned he was cancer-free and a grandpa on the same day

Dave Courier’s home is a bit more fulfilling.

“Full House” star 65 recently revealed that he learned that he had become his grandfather the same day he learned he had beaten a stage 3 battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Courier shared exciting news on Saturday’s episode “What a rude, Taneritus!” Two podcasts, Jodie Sween (Stefannie Tanner) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler), two of his previous “Full House” co-stars.

“There was good news on the day the baby was born,” the actor, Uncle Joey, said. “So I was so excited to hear the news, that Lucue called us and he said, ‘Hey, the baby’s just born.’ And, I mean, it was a great day. ”

“It was really amazing, right?” The “Fuller House” star has been added. “So we’re like, ‘Oh, this is just too many!”

Coulier’s 34-year-old son Luc welcomed baby son Chance Lee on March 27th along with his wife Alex. people. The comedian described his grandson as a “great little baby” and “health” that he plans to see later this month.

“He’s seven pounds, six ounces and I’ll see him in 12 days,” Courier said over the weekend. “Because we’re in Michigan and they’re in Sacramento.”

However, the stand-up comic also said that he may have “killed the moment” by sharing a bad joke in the Courier family group chat following news of the birth of his grandson.

“I told my son – everyone was crying, texting everything and everything when the baby was born, and then he said, “After he pulled my finger for the first time, I can’t wait to see the child’s expression on his face,” he recalled. “And there was something like, no one answered, it was like, “It’s okay. I killed that moment.” ”

Luckily, his son texted him soon to show his gratitude for the joke.

“I just got it,” replied Luko.

March 27th was also a “amazing” day for the Courier. Because it was the same day he learned he was 100% cancer free after a brief battle with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

The former “American Funny People” host was diagnosed with cancer in October 2024, and he announced on April 1st that he was cancer-free.

“I would like to thank my family, friends and fans for riding my emotional roller coaster and getting through cancer,” Courier said earlier this month.

“I can continue to encourage others to check in with the doctor and get early screenings such as breast examinations, colonoscopy and prostate examinations,” he added.

His previous “Full House” and “Full House” co-stars provided much needed support during the five-month cancer battle, but the courier admitted he was “ready to die” after the fifth chemotherapy.

“After chemotherapy, he said, ‘I don’t know if I can do this again,'” Courier’s wife, Melissa Blinger, 41, said shortly before the comedian was declared cancer-free. “He said, ‘I’m ready either way. If I die, I will die. And if I can stay here, I would be great. I want to.”

“These conversations were obviously very tough,” she added at the time.
