Tim Walz employee who allegedly caused over $20K in damages to Teslas let off by woke Minnesota DA

The progressive district attorney refused to file a claim that Tim Waltz state employee allegedly caused $20,000 in damage by destroying half a dozen Teslas.

The suspect, 33-year-old Minnesota government employee Dylan Brian Adams, was reportedly found keying a vehicle and stripping paint while walking around town.

Despite police believe it is evidence that Adams committed a felony, Hennepin County District Attorney Mary Moriarty seeks diversion rather than criminal charges.

He was caught up in cameras, causing thousands of dollars in damages to at least six Tesla vehicles in Minneapolis.

“This is an approach taken in many property crime cases, which helps to ensure that individuals continue their work and are able to pay compensation, reducing the likelihood of repeated crimes,” the attorney’s office said in a statement. CBS News reported.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said at the time of the incident that damages in each case amounted to a felony.

The chief said in a scathing statement Monday that the decision not to bring about Moriarty’s charges was frustrating for his officers and the public.

“The Minneapolis Police Department did their job. They identified and investigated crime trends, identified suspects, arrested them, presented case files to the Hennepin County Lawyer’s Office to consider the charges.” He told him in a statement.

“The case affected at least six different victims, totaling over $20,000 in damages. Any complaints relating to the Hennepin County Attorney’s claim decision should be directed solely to her office.

“Our investigators are always frustrated when a case they put their hearts down and in my experience, the victims in these cases often feel the same,” O’Hara said in a statement.

Moriarty, the top Hennepin County prosecutor since January 2023, was immediately attacked with awakening policy that allowed the accused rapists and murderers to remain free.

During her first week of office, she dropped the charges against a 35-year-old man accused of raping a teenage girl for her lawyer’s misconduct. CBS News reported at that time.
