‘Jeopardy!’ contestant turns heads as lookalike Sheldon from ‘Big Bang Theory’

The “Danger!” contestants pointed out a strong similarity to their beloved character in the hit comedy “Big Bang Theory,” which forced fans to see the double.

On April 18, undergraduate Liam Sturnes from Barrington, Illinois made his long-running game show debut when he faced fellow contestant Rachel Gray and one-day champion Stephen Wheing.

During the episode, viewers gathered on social media, where they called Starness something like genius physicist Sheldon Cooper.

“Seriously, it’s Sheldon!!!!!” a fan wrote on his previous Twitter, X.

“Liam looks like a real life Sheldon Cooper,” another social media user commented.

“Jeopardy!” fans call it confusing the ultimate danger clue: “It’s not the first word I use.”

“Liam’s Big Time Sheldon Cooper Vibes,” one fan wrote, but another cried out, “Liam looks like Sheldon Cooper’s younger brother.”

“It looks like Liam from #Jeopardy could potentially be the younger brother of many of Jim Parsons,” another viewer agreed.

At $19,600, Starness was leading towards the ultimate danger! He guessed the answer correctly and bet $12,801 before winning against Grey and Whilling.

“I never doubted teenage Sheldon for a minute! Congratulations to Liam,” fans followed Starnes’ victory.

After claiming the title of Hoying’s one-day champion, Starnes is back on Monday night’s episode of “Jeopardy!”. And viewers once again noticed his likeness to Sheldon.

“I’m not the only one who thinks Liam is Sheldon in real life,” the second fan wrote as another.

“Is it me or is it a Liam Sheldon doppelganger?” X user wrote alongside Sheldon’s gif.

The University of Chicago student became a two-day champion after winning the final risk, finishing the episode at $52,802. He is scheduled to compete in the episode of “Jeopardy” on Tuesday night. There you will face two new contestants.

“Big Bang Theory” was carried out for 12 seasons from 2007 to 2019. Along with Parsons, the sitcom’s main cast includes Johnny Garekki, Kaylee Kuoko, Simon Helberg, Kunalnaier, Salaghlbert, Maymbiarik, Melissa Lauch, Kevin Sussman and Laurus Pencel.

The show was a rated juggernaut and won 10 Emmy Awards. Parsons’ performance as Sheldon won four Emmys for the actor and one Golden Globe.

The spin-off prequel series entitled “Young Sheldon” ran for seven seasons from 2017 to 2024. The show starred Ian Armitage in the early days of Sheldon, who grew up as a child genius in East Texas.

The “Big Bang Theory” was already linked to “Jeopardy!” Before Starnes’s appearance. Biarik, who played Sheldon’s love interest and later his wife, Amy Farrer Fowler, co-hosted with “Jeopardy!” From August 2021 to December 2023, they alternated with the show’s current host, Ken Jennings.
