Princess Isabella of Denmark’s official portrait divides fans as she’s seen clutching her iPhone

Princess Isabella of Denmark split the fans after posing on her cell phone to break the Royal Protocol in honor of her 18th birthday.

In an image released by the Danish royal family earlier this week, the Young Royal, who lined up on the throne after his brother Prince Christian, gave the camera a smile as he grabbed his iPhone with both hands.

“Thank you to everyone who celebrated my 18th birthday,” wrote Frederick X and Queen Mary’s eldest son. On Instagram With the photos.

“It’s really good that so many people put their time, thought and effort into making my day special. This means a lot to me.”

Royal fans have rushed to social media to share their thoughts on the controversial move.

Some say, “This is strange… Is it a professional, or you can’t decide whether it’s an anti-modern phone addiction or not. Is this the “ultimate modern princess” or is it a melancholy accusation of modern culture? ”

“It’s fine, but this is ridiculous on that phone,” another wrote, but the third added, “I don’t know how I feel about this.”

Still, many fans defended the princess as they welcomed her “modern touch.”

“I love this official photo of Danish Princess Isabella on her 18th birthday. When Old World royals meet the reality of today’s technology,” one person wrote.

“Check that iPhone in her hand – Hello Related Princess” and another x.

Another wrote, “I love this royal family and she looks like a normal teenager, and I’ll get my iPhone and have my parents take a quick snapshot of her. Happy birthday.”

The unofficial snap was shared alongside three other official portraits. All of these featured a more traditional setup.

The image was taken by Steen, who was evaluated by the family’s longtime photographer Steen at the Amalienborg Palace, the main residence of the Danish royal family in the capital of Copenhagen.

In the image, the princess can be seen wearing a satin orange off-shoulder ball gown paired with an elephant sash and a blue order from Regalia.

She wrapped her imposing expression on her sash, wearing his miniature portrait of her.

Isabella was decorated with talented diamond turquoise earrings and diamond tiaras from her grandmother Queen Margurete, who abandoned the throne in January 2024.

The Danish royal family confirmed that the queen, 85, gave Isabella the flower diadem. This features 11 rosettes with “daisy-like flowers” with sweet nods that are affectionately nicknamed by loved ones as Daisy.
