Jaxson Dart surpasses Shedeur Sanders on boards as NFL Draft 2025 day arrives

It’s draft day. On Thursday night, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell walks the stage outside Lambeau Field to officially declare the 2025 NFL Draft.

If you feel like your draft is open for months, you are not alone.

But we have arrived, and it’s time to circulate the latest rumours before it all starts in reality.

Is it Jaxson Dart QB2?

In the final hours before the 2025 NFL Draft, a pair of well-known experts – Daniel Jeremiah and the NFL Network and Dane Blue Glare Athletics – We have released the final mock draft.

Both had Jackson Dirt as the second quarterback off the board, not Cheddur Sanders.

In his last mock, Jeremiah have New York Giants trade back to the first round with a trade Seattle Seahawksand choose Mississippi Passerby at number 18:

With the Giants brown Both are candidates who trade back to the first round with the goal of moving ahead of QB-Needy Steelers. This pairing makes sense as I’ve heard about the Seahawks trying to trade out for Round 1. New York has got a QB and Seattle GM John Schneider is armed with the boat road on the pick on the second day after this deal. The League Circle believes that the Giants view Dirt as better than Chedur Sanders.

Regarding Blue Glater, His final mock Sanders passes the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 21 and instead chooses Oregon’s defensive tackle Derrick Harmon. The Oregon DT has been linked to the Steelers over the past few weeks and has suggested that they should already buy a house in Pittsburgh. Bluegler points out that Sanders had Sanders in the post-combin mock draft for Pittsburgh, but he wouldn’t be surprised if Harmon was a pick.

After that, at No. 26, the Giants return to the first round with Los Angeles Ramstake the darts.

Trade! The Giants move to the Rams pick from the second round to get a quarterback. Coming out of round one with Carter and Darts brings excitement to the Giants organization.

If New York is targeting DART, it might push Sanders into round two. There, the Browns could grab him at number 33.

In fact, Sanders falls out from the first round of Bluegler’s final mock draft.

As mentioned earlier this week, there’s been a lot of buzz around Giants Dart pairings, and Todd McShay believes New York head coach Brian Daball is a fan. Without anything else, Dart appears to be the Giants’ top option at QB late tonight.

And as we’re talking about the final mock draft, there’s a final effort from our own JP Acosta who has Sanders as the Steelers QB2 at No. 21.

Mel Kiper Jr.’s latest topics

The Godfather of NFL Draft Coverage I shared some of the latest chatter He featured in a column that also included Field Yates’ final mock draft in the hours before the draft.

(For Sanders’ argument, Yates is making a deal with the Cleveland Browns returning to the first round Washington Commandertakes Colorado quarterback as the second QB off the board. )

Some of the information from Kuiper in that work is as follows, but the entire column is worth your time:

  • Jacksonville attacks at No. 5: It sounds like Jacksonville is attacking. “We’ve been predicting Michigan’s defensive tackle Mason Graham in general over the past few months, but the latest Inter says Cohen and Jaguar are targeting Johnny or Arizona receiver Tetaroa MacMillan, which we’ve heard of compared to Mike Evans, who played for Cohen in Tampa Bay.”
  • The Saint goes on number 9: “I see the offensive line. [Kelvin] The bank could be appropriate, especially as he can play some kind of guard if necessary if he is still available. I moved the bank to number 13 on the final big board. ”
  • Colts is thinking about TE. [Colston] Loveland, which one is unknown. ”
  • Potential Commander-Browns Trade: “The commander was in a good place and quickly turned the roster. It’s good business to move for another pick and land a good lead at the top of the second round.
“Several prospects who can fit the commander, whether they stay at No. 29 or Round 2: Boston College Edge Rush Donovan Ezellak, Kentucky Cornerback Maxwell Hairston, Ohio Running through Trevion Henderson, Olemis Cornerback Traia Moss and Tennessee Edge Rusher James Spears Jr.

Again, the entire piece is worth your time.

George Pickens unlocks the Steelers on Instagram

So you want to be a sports writer…

The game has changed. Long afternoons in the locker room and press box scrolled through social media and realized that players were not following their current teams on various apps. latest? It’s available at wide receiver George Pickens. It’s not melting Instagram’s Pittsburgh Steelers led to rumors that the organization could be trading WR in the coming days.

According to Fox Sports NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, the Pickens name appeared on a recent day during a trade discussion.

With the Steelers adding DK Metcalf this offseason, they can consider moving Piken if the right trade is offered.

What do you think of Buffalo at No. 30?

The teams that don’t often discuss these pre-draft rumours are Buffalo Billssitting in 30th place after losing the AFC Championship Game Kansas City Chiefs.

Buffalo has several different needs, primarily on the defensive side of football, which can be addressed in the first round. Defensive tackles are a common choice for them in mock drafts, as are cornerbacks.

According to Tony Polin from Sport KidaBuffalo has only 12 players with a one-round grade.

One of those players may be Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron. As Charles Robinson pointed out in him Latest pre-draft piecesthe invoice is one of three teams he identified as trying to trade up, and Baron is the player they may be targeting.

If Texas corner Jadae Baron reaches his 21st pick in the draft, he could absolutely see a bill that calls and asks about a move from 30 to 21. If there is an opportunity for themselves to be present in the first round, it is worth noting that the bill has two two rounds of picks to help them climb onto the board.

If you need an offensive lineman, don’t wait

Another interesting Notes from Wednesday’s Robinson’s work It may be particularly interesting for a particular fanbase, such as a fanbase like the Foxborough area.

I think we’ll see the first round dominated by offensive linemen, defensive linemen and edge rushes. The first line picks are 10 first round picks and 10 first round picks dedicated to defensive tackles and edge defenders. Within that group, it is recommended to pay close attention to the offensive tackle spot after the top five guys on the stack – LSUWill Campbell, Armando Memboo of Missouri, Kelvin Banks Jr. of Texas, Josh Connery Jr. of Oregon, Josh Simmons of Ohio — the raters I spoke to have dropped significantly to the next shelf, with the next set being evaluated later in the second round. Conclusion: If the 2025 team needs a bad offensive tackle, they will need to get him in the first round.

For teams looking at the offensive line, there is often the idea that they can trade down a bit in the draft and add draft capital along the way, while also getting a very good offensive lineman. It’s a good move at times, but there are associated risks.

According to Robinson, this year’s draft class may be able to miss out on players who can step into the fall starting lineup.

Traders should be careful.

Chicago led to what felt like half the board at No. 10.

One thing you can say Chicago Bears Here is number 10:

They have options.

Yesterday, the world of the NFL Draft was bustling with rumours that the Bears traded up in the first round, possibly for Boise to run Ashton Jeanti. The topic comes after words over the weekend and is reportedly “praying” that the bear was number 10 and RB fell to them.

However, as this work by Alyssa Barbieri Bears Wire NoteJeanty is just one of several options for tonight’s team. Offensive tackles are optional, with Oregon as left tackles Josh Connelly Jr. or Texas LT Kelvin Banks Jr. as potential targets.

Additionally, LSU’s offensive tackle revealed that he had told him that he was next season at Campbell, who had made a pre-draft visit with Chicago.

Then there’s Michigan tight end Colston Loveland. This is a pairing I absolutely love and makes sense given the offense of new head coach Ben Johnson in Detroit. With tight end Sam Laporta in place, the Lions have Jared Goff’s choice in the center of the field, and adding tight ends early in the draft, Caleb Williams gives the same kind of security blanket in the center of the field.

Loveland will be an attractive option for them at No. 10.

As Barbieri pointed out, Todd McShay has a similar mind. “A young quarterback who was troubled last year should cook some schemes in the lab and call me in October where there are coaches who can take advantage of these two tight ends,” McShay said. I said. “Now we can be for 12 people. And now we’re getting headaches.”
