Famous pastor and author Max Lukado celebrated the 50th anniversary of his recent salvation. “I am celebrating the golden anniversary of God’s great grace in my life. At the time, Lukad changed his life by the pastor’s sermon, “Can Christ forgive a jerk like me?”
“On the spring evening of 1975, I heard the preacher explain grace greater than sin. On the cross, Christ paid my debt. It was a half-century that 50 years ago, I failed Jesus many times, but he never failed me.
“To celebrate this anniversary, I got a tattoo. Teteresti – finished.”
Lucado posted an image of a tattoo artist getting caught in her arm. His post included a link to his latest sermon detailing his conversion.
“Not everyone likes the idea that a 70-year-old pastor gets a tattoo. That’s fine,” Lukado said. “I didn’t do it for people, I thank Jesus for paying debts I can’t pay. Do you know this grace? If this truth is tattooed on your skin, I care deeply that it is tattooed on your heart.
