A new poll shows that the majority of federal employees who previously voted for Democrats are prepared to oppose the interests of elected boss President Donald Trump.
Data released Thursday by the Napolitan Institute shows that 76% of former Kamala Harris voters who work for Trump say they will “resist” his plan, while 75% hypothetically say “what to do.” [they] The Napolitan Institute said the numbers indicate “deep partisan disparities in administrative states” as Trump moves to link his agenda with the numerous government halls of fames.
“Our research confirms that administrative states are not made up of thoughtful, nonpartisan experts making neutral decisions for voters,” said Scott Rasmussen, founder of the Napolitan Institute. press release. “The federal bureaucracy and deep partisan division within changing public opinion pose a major challenge for the current administration.”
The survey showed respondents “Imagine you’re the head of a federal agency” and “President Trump gave you a legal order, but you believed it was a bad policy.”
“Do you follow the president’s orders or do what you think is the best?” I asked the questionnaire.
President Donald Trump presents an executive order signed on April 23, 2025 at the White House oval office in Washington, DC, entitled “Reviving Common Sense School Discipline Policies.”
The result was that 75% of bureaucrats who voted for Harris for the president “what do they do?” [they] When it comes to Trump’s orders, 9% thought they weren’t sure, and the rest would follow him. This contrasts with 80% of officials voting for Trump who said they would follow the president despite differences, with 2% saying they were unsure and 18% saying they wouldn’t.
Government supporters also said their own “political efforts” were to “strongly resist” or “somewhat resist” Trump’s agenda to “struggle” or “slightly resist” 56% and 16%.
The group surveyed 500 staff members who “live at the National Capitol and earn at least $75,000 a year,” pointing to a 4% margin of error.
Trump’s efforts to bring the bureaucracy to the heels included a day. Hire Freeze “All Administrative Agency,” reduced left-wing priorities such as federal workers’ payments, transgender ideology, and the creation of the Ministry of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which cleaned homes at several agencies. “The silver lining holds so high levels of confusion about this bureaucratic ‘civil war’ that the common sense voice of the American people will rise above political noise and once again become a shaping force for the nation’s dialogue,” Rasmussen said.
