Ja Morant gets hurt again.
The exciting yet frequently hurting Grizzlies star may miss Game 4 with Thunder and not play another game this NBA season. According to ESPN.
“Morant played through a pretty ankle sprain to win a playoff spot last week, then had a horrible fall in his lower back on Thursday,” Shams Charania posted to X.
The Grizzlies are chasing the Thunder 3-0 in the series, losing one loss by finishing the 2025 playoff run.
Morant left Game 3 between the Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder, suffering a hip injury.
Morant’s exit proved to be a major turning point for the contest.
The Grizzlies held a 27-point lead when Morant left the match, and after Thunder gradually fell into a deficit, they eventually overtook Memphis and the victory 114-108.
Already playing through an ankle sprain, Morant left the game with 15 points and five assists in 16 minutes.
The two-time NBA All-Star was limited to just 50 appearances during the 82-game regular season due to a variety of illnesses.
Morant also just played nine games last season for 25-game suspension of two gun-related incidents and torn lips that finished his season shortly after his long-awaited return.
Morant was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, playing just 329 games, including the playoffs, and missing 166.
