Celtics call out Magic’s physical play during NBA playoff series: ‘It’s not basketball’

The physicality of Orlando Magic was a pain for the Boston Celtics.

Despite having a 2-1 lead in the series, the first round of Eastern Conference playoff encounters are noteworthy due to the old-school nature of the series.

The magic went 6-3 against Boston in the last nine games before this series, and was mainly helped by defense.

By comparison, the Celtics are not happy about it, like the finesse team.

The Celtics are calling for magic for what they describe as overly physical and dirty play during the playoff series.

“It’s starting to feel like it’s not even basketball, so there may be a broken fight or something, and references don’t control the environment,” said 2024 NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, who was limited to 19 points, where Magic won 95-93 on Friday.

Brown continued. “It’s what it is. If you want to fight it, we can do it. We can fight to see who’s going to the second round.”

Equally frustrated, Kristaps’ Porzingis was accidentally elbowed in the face of Game 2 by Magic Center Goga Vitaze, earning seven points in three-tenths of the shooting.

“I mean, they’re just boundary fouling. That’s what it is,” he was convinced. “Borderline fouling and fouling, and some of them. [the referees] Of course, call it, and some of it isn’t, and that’s how it goes. You have to accept reality. You can also use it. There’s not the only way. That’s both ways. ”

In Game 1, Jason Tatum missed Game 2 of the series as he got a terrible foul and injured his wrist.

The Porzingis incident continued alongside the Game 3 incident in which Brown was swung around the ground, where he recoiled in pain with his index finger, which was dislocated in his left hand.

In Game 2, another prominent foul by the Magic Split Open Porzingis forehead, and five stitches are required to close the bloody wounds of the Celtics Center.

In Magic’s thrilling Game 3 victory, another prominent foul by Orlando swung Brown to the ground, and the Starswingman cried in pain with his dislocated index finger in his left hand.

Brown reportedly drained his knee before the postseason.

Game 4 of the series is expected to be another controversial one at 7pm on Sunday. Orlando tries to tie the series together 2-2.
