Former Rep. Jamal Bowman (D-NY) criticized the NFL after Shedeur Sanders, the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, fell from the first round of the NFL draft, claiming it was due to racism.
in video Posted on X, Bowman claims that the NFL doesn’t like “Shedeur,” and “speaks like a rapper.” Bowman pointed out that Chedur recognized someone like “draft slip” as “personal” because of the way he spoke, how he was his father, compared to other NFL players who were unable to play his position.
Bowman’s criticism comes when President Donald Trump criticized the NFL owners after Chedur passed away in the first round of the NFL Draft. In a post about the Truth Society, Trump asked if the NFL owners were “silly”, and said Chedur “should be “selected” immediately by the team they want to win.”
“The Cleveland Browns hope to select Shedale Sanders on the first pick of today’s second round of the NFL Draft, but the analysis of Shedur Sanders and the way he is being discussed by critics is crazy for me.
Bowman continues to point out that the Indianapolis Colts drafted quarterback Anthony Richardson two years ago, adding that Richardson “can’t play positions.”
“Last year, or two years ago, we drafted Anthony Richardson who has it all but can’t play that position. And Chedur has everything else, [you] What’s probably needed is toughness, leadership, intelligence,” Bowman said, adding that Chedur is “accurate in football,” and that he “threw predictions.”
“He has everything, but we don’t draft him,” Bowman continued. “And throughout my life I’ve seen the team draft people like Josh Rosen and Brady Quinn.”
“I don’t know people. That’s how you talk about him. Yes, yeah, that’s what you got his father. In my opinion, it’s culture.”
“I keep listening, ‘Oh, he’s given the rights. He feels the rights.’ I continued, when these white boys who came before him said he didn’t want to play in San Diego. “Chedur is not qualified.”
“I think of it personally – and maybe I shouldn’t, but when I see someone like Chedure Sanders, I personally accept it, he speaks in a certain way, he wears gold chains, his pop is hair removal, and he doesn’t want to submit to y’all s**t.
In response to Bowman’s video, several people took him to social media, noting that the NFL is “majority black” and that “the best players will be drafted first.”

“Before you throw this out there, check the league’s demographics,” one person wrote. post. “The race bait ring is the best.”
“This 10-minute diatribe is the perfect example of why Bowman is no longer a member of Congress,” says another. I wrote it.
