Memphis cornerback Coby Minor received the title “Mr. Alllevant” when he was selected on the final pick of the NFL Draft by the New England Patriots on Saturday.
The minor, who previously played for Texas Tech and Indiana, was selected 257th overall to complete a three-day seven-round draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The Patriots sent their 228th overall pick in the fifth round to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for their 251st and 257th picks.
Minor spent his first three college seasons at Texas Tech and spent a year in Indiana and his final season with Memphis.
He had no intercept in 2024, but had 12 tackles due to loss.
What he lacks in statistical production makes up for speed.
The Minor ran a 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds.
New England finally got their final pick of the draft in 2005 when they selected tight end Andy Stokes.
He’s never been down in the NFL.
