Fox News Digital spoke with Ari Lightman, Professor of Digital Media and Marketing at Carnegie Mellon University, Anthony’s latest venture.
He emphasized that platforms like Tiktok, which did not exist during Anthony’s trial, were now able to reintroduce themselves into a new generation where public figures barely know the controversy of the past.
“This person and this personality are an opportunity to refresh themselves within the American public and reinvent themselves,” he said.
Lightman noted the increasing involvement of people who are also known as “favourite clicks” in content they disagree with.
“People either hate things or enjoy reading hatred, and are fascinated by the mystery and what they’ve been doing,” he pointed out.

Reitman wondered whether Anthony’s ability to benefit from fame would encourage more people to become famous, despite it stemming from the scandal.
“The question I have is, are you going to see this happening more and more frequently? This provides an example of people cashing out into fandom. Does that mean people are intentionally trying to create fame?

In 2008, Casey was charged with Kaylee’s murder after the girl was reported missing and later reported to have died in Orlando, Florida.
Prosecutors alleged that Casey intentionally killed her daughter to release her from parental responsibility, but the defense argued that Kaley accidentally drowned and that Casey’s father helped her hide it.
