Bucks star Damien Lillard left the Pacers in the first quarter of Sunday’s Game 4 with the Pacers with a leg injury. And he could have been seriously injured.
Lillard excluded for the rest of the game and suffered a lower limb injury to his left leg. NBA Insider Chris Haynes reported There was a “fear” that made him suffer from the tears of left Achilles.
The injury occurred when Lillard was helping to rebound the team in the first quarter when he hit the ball from a Pacers player to maintain his Milwaukee property, but he quickly grabbed his left foot when he hit the ground.
He stayed on the ground until play finally stopped, and his teammates ran to help him.
Lillard couldn’t put any pressure on his left foot as he was rescued from the court by the Bucks locker room.
Lillard played six minutes off the court, with two assists and two rebounds.
The tough situation for Lillard was the first to be discussed “inside the NBA” at halftime, with a calming panel coming out of the break.
“He’s a great player and a really good guy. You can say right away when he grabs right for that Achilles.” Charles Barkley said.
The injury came after Lillard recently returned to court after missing the last 14 games of the Bucks regular season after being diagnosed with deep venous thrombosis and needed to be placed in blood thinner.
He returned to Game 2 of the series, recovering from what ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania reported by a doctor that he had “not seen before.”
