‘Ransom Canyon’ star Josh Duhamel loves Minnesota lifestyle for his sons over LA

Josh Duhamel prefers raising his son in a rural Minnesota hut rather than Hollywood fuss and busts.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, the “Ransom Canyon” star said his 11-year-old son Axl can work in Minnesota. This is not possible in Los Angeles.

“I think it’s about the memories we made like family. My parents love to come out here. My wife’s parents are hanging out here. My son, my 11 year old Axle… There are a lot of good things about LA, LA, but it’s good that he’s going out into the woods and helping out with Dad,” Duhamel said.

He shared a story about the time Axl had to help his father, but he wasn’t very happy.

“We had a tree that fell in the winter. We had to go out there and cut it and stack it side by side. He’s not doing it in Los Angeles.

Duhamel shares Axl with his ex-wife Fergie. The actor married Audra Mali in 2022, and the couple shares a one-year-old shepherd.

“The shepherd is 15 months old. He’s going to do the same thing. I think these things will help contribute. We’re 40 miles from here, so there’s nothing.

“So these kids need to learn how to do this and they’re not going to do that in LA.”

“So, just for that reason, I think it’s great. Plus they love it. They have their companions here.

Since Duhamel spent time off the grid in Minnesota, he has been able to be separated from many things.

“Something happens as soon as you get out here. Your blood pressure drops. It’s not my phone. There’s nothing other than getting what you need to survive. It’s not like we live our mouths like we pull our mouths out of mouth. Make sure we came out here yesterday. We’ve come to understand that,” Duhamel said.

He continued, “It’s back to basics so I think that’s what I really like. I just made sure I got enough food, enough water and then started the fun from there.

Living away from the grid is more than just a personal choice for Duhamel and his family. He actually encourages everyone to give it a try.

“It’s always fun because I love having my friends come out here. First of all, when I first go out here, there is a lot, but after a few days they love it. Like I said, we don’t live in a tent here. The phone and what’s being given to us.

On April 16th, Duhamel jokingly said Country life He called his property his “end of the country.”

Josh Duhamel blames Hollywood for Fergie’s divorce, which says “I can suck my soul from you.”

Duhamel purchased the land and built a rustic cabin for the past 15 years. He eventually added a second parcel with a third parcel that came with the hunting shed and the house.

“It’s a cute little red cabin with a stone chimney above the water. It’s basically a painting by Terry Redlin,” he told the outlet, referring to the scenic work of a famous artist.

In Duhamel’s professional life, the ROM-COM icon brings to a small screen and appears on Netflix’s “Ransom Canyon.” In the series, Duhamel plays Staten Kirkland, a small town in Texas, fighting to protect his land.

“I think Stan and I really have something to do with this guy because of what we mentioned earlier in growing up in North Dakota. We have a fortune in a cabin that we are proud of. I have shaped and built this place for years.

“And that’s what I really think attracted me to this guy. I really felt that was something I could dig up and he just lost his wife and son until the day he started the show.

“It was so much fun. I love this world. I love his character. And we have a great cast and a great team that helped bring it all back to life,” he concluded.

The “Ransom Canyon” cast also includes Minka Kelly, James Brolin and Jack Schumacher. It’s currently streaming on Netflix.
