The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has finally settled on who will take office later this year. And fortunately, the star-studded ceremony will allow you to watch live from home for cable customers and cord cutters.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame previously released a list of 14 bands and musicians who were sought for the honor in early 2025. American Idol: Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Cyndi Lauper, Joe Cocker, Outkast, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes.
Several musicians and bands ran for honor, including Fish, Mariah Carey and Oasis. Fish won fan votes with around 330,000 votes cast by fans, but the feat wasn’t enough to land a Hall of Fame spot in the Jam Rock Band.
Joiners aren’t the only celebrities who are respected that night. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony honors Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon at the Musical Inflience Awards. Tom Bell, Nicky Hopkins and Carol Kay also won the Musical Excellence Award, while Renee Wolonker will receive the Ahmet Eltegun Award.
The evening certainly wasn’t a mis-event. The 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class included Mary J. Briguet, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigners, Ozzy Osbourne, Upge Call Quest, Cool & Gang, and Peter Frampton.
