Walmart is making major changes to its self-checkout machines.
The retailer installed bright yellow rims around the machine's pin pads after a surge in card skimming.
Reddit user Matteo360 shared photos Of the machines on the Walmart Subreddit page, I wrote, “My manager called it the “chastity belt” on the pin pad.”

A Skimmer is a card reader disguised to appear to be part of a payment terminal. According to the FBI.
Skimmers are used to steal personal data such as card numbers and pin codes and replicate them into forged cards, fraudulent transactions, or identity theft.
The new “Chastity Belt” tool reportedly protects the keypad and card terminal from skimmers.
