Exclusive: President Donald Trump is set to host a military parade in June to pay tribute to veterans and current service members, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, according to Fox News Digital.
The event is slated for June 14th, which is not only the Army’s milestone birthday but also Trump’s own.

The parade will feature reenactments and military equipment from various historical conflicts, including the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World Wars, the Korean and Vietnam Wars, as well as the Gulf War and current operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria. Active duty personnel and students will also be introduced to the U.S. military academy during this event.
“The President is planning a significant celebration for the Army’s 250th birthday, honoring the dedicated Americans who have made sacrifices for our freedom,” said Vince Haley, the director of the White House National Policy Council, speaking to Fox News Digital. “Just 250 years ago, the first patriots sacrificed their lives for the cause of independence. We owe them our freedom.”
The parade follows Trump’s January executive order to create “Task Force 250,” which aims to organize events celebrating America’s impending 250th anniversary. This milestone will be officially marked on July 4th, 2026.
“This parade will be one of the first events kicking off the year-long celebration, providing a respectable tribute to the service and dedication of the brave men and women in uniform,” Haley added.

The White House is collaborating closely with the Pentagon, the Department of Homeland Security, the National Park Service, and other agencies to ensure this significant event honors veterans and the military’s historical legacy.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegses emphasized the importance of honoring military capabilities, stating, “Celebrating 250 years of the U.S. Army will feature the largest and most spectacular military parade in our nation’s history.”
This task force is also tasked with coordinating federal agencies to prepare for the momentous occasion of America’s 250th anniversary.
Task Force 250 draws inspiration from the bicentennial celebrations held 50 years ago, which sought to renew national ideals amid periods of unrest and division.

As the nation approaches the significant 2026 celebration, the White House is reflecting on the anniversaries of pivotal events tied to America’s founding. This includes Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech in March, as well as the anniversaries of Paul Revere’s ride and the Battle of Lexington and Concord in April.
The executive order establishing the task force also revitalizes the initiative from Trump’s previous administration to create the National Garden of American Heroes, a statue park honoring noteworthy Americans.
This National Garden aims to commemorate “American Heroes,” along with safeguarding monuments and memorials from destruction and vandalism.
The White House indicated that the 250th anniversary would foster a shared historical narrative and collective future for the nation.
During his first term, Trump organized a distinctive “Salute to America” event on July 4th in 2019 that diverged from traditional Independence Day celebrations.
That event featured military displays, including tanks near the National Mall, overflights by aircraft, and a speech from Trump at the Lincoln Memorial, capped with a standard fireworks show.
