Olivia “Livvy” Dan is all set for the Kentucky Derby.
The 22-year-old, known for her social media presence and her time as an LSU gymnast, showcased her pink outfit for this year’s Kentucky Oaks on Friday. It’s pretty eye-catching, really.
She first teased her outfit on social media, sharing a video on Instagram and TikTok with the playful caption, “Your Girl’s First Derby :).” It seems she’s feeling the excitement.
Historically, pink is the hue of choice at Churchill Downs, as it represents the official flower of the Oaks and also supports a cause focused on breast cancer awareness. So, there’s some heart behind it.
Later on that same day, she appeared again, providing the official “Rider Close-up” commentary in a video shared by NBC Sports.
“I’m such a Kentucky Oaks fan,” she expressed. “Riders are a tradition we all look forward to!”
Dunne plans to meet fans and even distribute some gifts, rain or shine, as the weather wasn’t looking too promising.
Also part of the festivities was Gina Miles, winner of Season 23 of “The Voice,” who sang the national anthem before the race kicked off.
Fans in attendance were decked out in derby hats and stylish outfits, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere at Churchill Downs, Louisville, on May 2, 2025.
After the Oaks, there’s the Kentucky Derby Eve Gala planned, which will feature various entertainment including music and celebrity appearances. Quite the lineup!
Notable attendees from the sports world will include Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, and other former teammates from the Packers and Jets.
Seven-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles is also on the guest list, bringing in some star power.
In terms of music, artists like Machine Gun Kelly, Dierks Bentley, and Boyz II Men are set to perform. Quite the eclectic mix!
Actors like Tracy Morgan, Blair Underwood, and Wilmer Valderrama will also grace the gala with their presence.
This annual event has raised an impressive $21 million for the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center at the University of Kentucky. A good cause, indeed!
