Meghan Markle stands by Prince Harry following the loss of his security request.

One day after Prince Harry lost his appeal regarding his British security, Meghan Markle took to social media to discreetly show her support for him. On Saturday, the Duchess of Sussex posted photos of Harry with their two kids, Archie, age five, and Lilibet, age three, spending time outdoors at their home in Montecito, California. In one particular image, Harry is seen barefoot, holding hands with Archie while Lilibet is on his shoulder.

The recent ruling from the Court of Appeals dealt a significant blow to Harry, affirming that his security appeals were handled fairly. The court unanimously decided that there was no unfair treatment in how the Commission assessed safety for Harry on a case-by-case basis during his visits back to Britain. This ruling reinforced a previous High Court decision that deemed Harry’s proposed safety measures were not illegal or unreasonable.

Since stepping back as senior royals in 2020, he has often expressed distress over intense media scrutiny and insufficient support from the royal family. In interviews and his memoir, “Spare,” Harry voiced numerous grievances after losing government-funded security when he and Meghan distanced themselves from royal duties.

During a rare court appearance last month, Harry’s legal team argued that his life is at risk and cited perceived mistreatment by the Royal Family. One of his lawyers emphasized that the current setup feels lacking compared to what he should receive.

As Harry and Meghan raise their children in California, they feel increasingly unsafe returning to the UK without proper police protection. Reports suggest Harry believes that King Charles III, in his role, could assist in restoring the security he currently seeks.

After the court decision, Harry mentioned in an emotional interview that he values reconciliation with his family but is frustrated by the situation. He reflected on the importance of family, stating that fighting is pointless and expressing concern over his father’s health.

Harry articulated that while he never asked for direct intervention from King Charles, he wishes that the necessary experts would be allowed to do their jobs without interference. He described feeling disappointed by the outcome of his court case, attributing it to royal influence over his security arrangements.

In light of everything, he conveyed a strong sense of yearning for his home country, despite the obstacles. “I always miss out on some of the UK,” he said, alluding to the complexities of his situation.
