Veteran Actor Charlie Scully Passes Away at 84

Charlie Scully, a familiar face from “The Wire” and “The Sopranos,” has passed away at the age of 84. His daughter, Anne Marie, confirmed the news, stating that he died in a nursing home in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, following a prolonged struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Throughout his diverse career, Scully shared the screen with notable stars such as Al Pacino in “Two Bits,” and appeared alongside Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt in “12 Monkeys.” Fans might remember him as Thomas “Horseface” Pasuka from season two of “The Wire.” Additionally, he portrayed Tony Soprano’s high school football coach in the fifth season of “The Sopranos,” where he confronted the mob boss about the consequences of his choices.

His resume also includes appearances in popular shows like “Cold Case,” “Law and Order,” and “Jersey Girl.” Scully is survived by his wife, Angeline, 62, along with their children—Chuck, Angeline, Tony, Christa, and Anne Marie—plus several grandchildren, including Charles IV, Christopher, Domenic, and Amelia.
