Inspired by a hit TV show, a food line’s baked beans are being recalled due to undeclared allergens.
Vietti Food Group, based in Nashville, Tennessee, is recalling 4,515 cases of 15-ounce cans of Yellowstone brown sugar molasses baked beans after discovering that they contain unlisted soybeans.
The company announced that “individuals allergic or highly sensitive to soybeans may face severe or potentially life-threatening reactions if they consume this product,” as stated in the recall alert on the FDA website.
The affected beans were sent to stores across 23 states.
This includes Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
As of now, there have been no reports of illnesses or adverse effects linked to this issue, according to the company and the FDA.
The recalled products can be identified by their “best by” date of February 17, 2028, which appears on the bottom of the cans.
Shoppers who bought the affected items are advised to return them for a full refund.
“Yellowstone,” starring Kevin Costner, aired on the Paramount Network and concluded last December following five seasons.
Fox News Digital contacted Vietti Food Group for further details, but a representative mentioned there was nothing more to add.
