Cavaliers give up lead in last moments and lose to Pacers

“Don’t overdo that.”

Tyrese Haliburton delivered a stunning blow to Cavaliers fans with a game-winning shot, sealing the Pacers’ dramatic 120-119 victory in Cleveland on Tuesday night.

This pivotal moment came during Indiana’s final possession, as they played catch-up.

Haliburton was in a bit of a bind but managed to pull off a jumper just beyond the 3-point line, watching it swish through the net as the crowd at the arena held its breath.

Meanwhile, the Cavs had only a second left to inbound the ball, but nothing materialized for them.

Haliburton wrapped up the game with 19 points, shooting 11-of-7 and hitting both of his 3-point attempts.

Indiana had trailed by seven with under a minute left after Donovan Mitchell sank a free throw.

Aaron Nesmith’s dunk narrowed the gap to 119-114, and despite a block from Jarrett Allen on Haliburton’s layup attempt, the Pacers managed to grab the rebound.

Pascal Siakam put up a solid performance, scoring 27 points.

It was during a controversial shooting foul that Halliburton stepped to the line, hitting one of his free throws and setting himself up as the game’s hero.

In a clutch moment, Haliburton grabbed his own rebound and sank the winning shot.

He scored 11 of his 19 points in the final 12 minutes, really stepping up when it counted.

Interestingly, Cavaliers fans chanted “overrated” at him in the first half, while TNT captured Mitchell attempting to calm the crowd against their second-round adversary.

This win puts the Pacers up 2-0 in the series as they head to Indiana for Game 3 on Friday.
