Breitbart News is once again hosting a policy event featuring Agriculture Secretary Brook Rollins, marking a renewed focus on making the USDA more effective for Americans after addressing previous inefficiencies.
The event will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 11 am in the East, hosted by Breitbart News’ Washington Director Matthew Boyle. It is organized in collaboration with CGCN and the Alfa Institute.
“The USDA plays a crucial role in significant policy discussions currently affecting the U.S. under President Trump’s second term. These discussions involve food pricing, regulations on food production, agricultural policies, and global trade negotiations,” said an event representative.
“Since her confirmation by the U.S. Senate, she’s made a substantial impact, particularly with her successful multi-point plan regarding egg prices, where earlier Democratic critiques have faded.”
“Chief Rollins offers valuable insights into this administration. As a long-time ally of Trump, I’m confident that this conversation with Breitbart will yield headlines that other media may miss,” the representative added.
Geduldig remarked, “Following the success of the last event with my secretary, I’m eager to maintain that momentum,” referencing Doug Burgham.
“Recent technological advancements, like autonomous systems and satellite imaging, are significantly benefiting USDA stakeholders. These developments have helped American farmers boost crop yields and tackle invasive diseases while also providing strategies to address wildfires,” he continued.
Sparks noted, “Utilizing these technologies under Secretary Rollins’ leadership will contribute to a healthier and more resilient nation.”
This event comes as the USDA has taken effective measures against escalating egg prices and has supported President Trump’s tariffs while dismissing previous inefficiencies within the department. Rollins provided notable examples in March, including the removal of certain “woke” initiatives related to diversity and inclusion and rescinding a grant focused on menstrual cycles in transgender individuals.
Moreover, the USDA has recently intensified efforts to address misuse of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), with Rollins warning offenders of potential consequences.
The upcoming event follows the successful “A Conversation with Doug Burgum” hosted by Breitbart News on March 19, held in downtown Washington, DC.
