Charges Filed Against Man for Stalking Jennifer Aniston
Jimmy Wayne Carwyle has been charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney with one count of felony stalking and one count of felony vandalism following an incident at Jennifer Aniston’s residence.
According to reports, Carwyle was arrested after he crashed his vehicle into the security gate of Aniston’s Bel-Air home on May 5. Armed security personnel intervened and restrained the 48-year-old until law enforcement arrived, as detailed by sources. The Los Angeles Police Department later uncovered several concerning posts linked to Carwyle that mentioned Aniston, including one in which he referred to her as his “bride.”
District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced the charges on Wednesday. He stated that Carwyle had allegedly sent Aniston multiple unwanted messages on social media, voicemails, and emails, with harassment claims dating back to 2023.
Hochman noted that the arraignment is scheduled for May 8. If convicted, Carwyle could face up to three years in prison.
At the time of the incident, Aniston, widely recognized for her role as Rachel Green on “Friends,” was inside her home. Fortunately, she was unharmed and did not interact with Carwyle, as reported.
This recent event isn’t the first occasion when authorities have responded to Aniston’s home. In September 2024, police conducted a welfare check after someone called indicating a potential threat to themselves inside the residence. This situation was later labeled as a swatting attempt.
