In a tense moment during the second quarter, Anthony Edwards took a hard fall while attempting a layup, leaving Timberwolves fans concerned. Fortunately, despite the frightening nature of the spill, he managed to return to the game later on.
As Minnesota was dominating the Warriors in Game 2 of their playoff series, the injury had several fans on edge. Initially, there were doubts about whether Edwards would return, given he sprained his left ankle. However, he made his way back onto the court to start the second half.
During the layup attempt, it seemed Edwards landed awkwardly, resulting in his ankle bending awkwardly. He immediately clutched his left ankle, showing clear signs of pain as he went down.
The Timberwolves’ medical staff rushed in to assist him, with teammates surrounding him during the ordeal.
Reports indicated that three All-Stars were seen being escorted straight to the Timberwolves locker room afterward.
This happened with just under six minutes left in the first half, with Minnesota leading 37-19. Later on, it was noted that Edwards was seen running drills to prepare for action again during halftime.
In the first half, he played a total of 15 minutes, managing to score seven points on seven attempts before the injury disrupted his momentum.
Interestingly, the Warriors were also without some key players, including Steph Curry, who was out due to a hamstring injury from Game 1.
Heading into this match, Golden State led the series 1-0.
