Paul Pierce promises to stop betting after a humiliating 20-mile walk.

Paul Pierce seems to have some regrets about betting on his former team.

At 47, he decided to honor his wager by walking to work in a robe after the Celtics missed his prediction that they’d win Game 2 against the Knicks on Wednesday.

He mentioned there’s something he won’t do again.

“I will never bet on something like this again,” he shared during an Instagram Live session. “We finally made it to Fox’s parking lot. It feels like I’ve achieved something wild by the end of it all.”

Pierce successfully completed a 20-mile trek in his robe to Fox Studios after losing the bet in the playoffs.

He remarked, “Not everyone has the mental strength to do what I just did.”

The Celtics legend promised on FS1’s “Speak” that if they fell behind 2-0 in the Eastern Conference semi-finals, he would walk to the studio the next day in just his robe.

“If the Celtics lose Game 2 at home, I promise I’ll be walking here tomorrow… 15 miles,” Pierce declared before the game. “In my robe, no shoes, just my bare feet.”

However, pictures revealed he was wearing shoes during his walk on Thursday.

The route from Pierce’s home to the studio measured 20.2 miles and took him over 8 hours to finish.

“I can’t believe the Celtics led me to do this,” he said while walking. “I’m really doing this. It’s been quite a journey.”

Pierce was drafted by Boston in 1997 and played there for 15 years, winning the NBA Finals in 2008 and earning MVP honors.

He also stated on “Speak” that he feels like he “comes out of the studio to watch dinosaurs,” and believed the Knicks had a better chance of winning.

The Celtics, after shooting just 25% from three-point range in Game 2, suffered a painful 91-90 loss to the Knicks.

Having won the 2024 NBA Finals, the Celtics have only two losses since their playoff exit.

They are scheduled to meet the Knicks again in Game 3 on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.
