Jasmine Crockett Gets Upset About Excluding Men from Women’s Sports

Democrat Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) reacted strongly during a subcommittee session focused on protecting women’s sports from male athletes, arguing that Republican efforts are merely attempts to distract from what she termed “devil and disastrous policies.”

Crockett expressed disbelief that it took her until age 44 to recognize that “Republicans would be able to save women,” noting her disdain for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and her party’s backing of the Save Act, which aims to restrict voting to U.S. citizens. For Crockett, this, in her view, would “deprive women of their rights” without elaborating on how that would happen.

“So I’m here today, feeling like they are our saviors, although, honestly, I wouldn’t call them saviors,” she remarked, adding, “For those who believe in reality, it’s been 100 days of dreadful moments.” Her frustration with the irony of discussing women’s protections in a committee setting was palpable.

“While Congressional Republicans are executing one of the most aggressive anti-women’s legislative agendas ever, we’re now expected to believe that discriminating against transgender individuals is the sole way to safeguard women,” she continued. She provocatively questioned a witness on whether the prevailing issues stemmed from Trump or from transgender individuals.

“Let’s play a game called Trump or Trans,” she proposed, instructing a witness to identify whether a particular issue involved Trump or trans people. She specifically referenced “deportation” in quotes, likely alluding to Kilmer Abrego Garcia, an undocumented immigrant deported during the Trump administration.

It’s worth mentioning that Fatima Graves, a Democratic witness she questioned, is a notable advocate for allowing men to compete in women’s sports.

Crockett proceeded to criticize Trump and the Republicans heading the committee, asserting that the public is not concerned about male participation in women’s sports.

“We’re playing these absurd games concerning about 10 trans athletes in college sports,” she declared. “This isn’t a fight I signed up for.”

Crockett, who has gained attention for her passionate outbursts recently, has also criticized the Trump administration’s handling of illegal immigration, claiming that the push for immigrants to “declare themselves” in the U.S. was a “damn scam.”
