India Dismantles Terrorist Bases Near LoC, Army Releases Video

New Delhi:

The Indian army recently took out multiple terrorist launchpads near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. This operation, confirmed by the Ministry of Defense on Saturday, was a reaction to a series of drone attacks and escalating tensions attributed to Pakistan.

On Friday, the Army released video evidence showcasing the precision of their strike, which targeted a site known for facilitating incursions and terrorist activities against Indian citizens and security personnel.

“The swift and decisive action by the Indian Army has disrupted the terrorists’ infrastructure and capabilities,” stated an Army spokesperson.

The military’s response came on the heels of attempts by Pakistan to conduct drone strikes across several cities, including parts of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. Reports indicated that the drones, categorized as Turkish Yiha III Kamikaze Drones, were equipped with explosives intended to cause civilian harm in urban areas, notably Amritsar.

India’s Integrated Air Defense (AAD) systems successfully intercepted the drones shortly after they entered Indian airspace.

During a briefing in Delhi, Colonel Sofiya Kureshi, Wing Vyomika Singh, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Mithri offered insights on Pakistan’s aggressions targeting Indian positions. Colonel Kureshi noted that Pakistani forces launched a high-speed missile at an Indian Air Force base in Punjab around 1:40 AM on May 9th, alongside attacks from Pakistani jets on military sites in Srinagar, Avanchipura, and Udhanpur.

India has asserted that it targeted 26 sites related to Pakistan’s drone, missile, and airstrike capabilities early Saturday, decisively countering claims made by Pakistan regarding military infrastructure.
