President Donald Trump recently stated on a social platform that India and Pakistan have come to an agreement on a ceasefire.
In a post this morning, he expressed satisfaction over the outcome, saying, “After a lengthy meeting mediated by the US, India and Pakistan have agreed to a complete and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both nations for employing common sense and intelligence. Thank you for addressing this critical issue!”
These two countries are among the few nuclear-armed nations, making their tensions particularly concerning on a global scale.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio shared that he and Vice President JD Vance have been active in discussions with officials from both nations.
Rubio noted, “Over the last 48 hours, Vice President Vance and I have collaborated with Indian and Pakistani leaders, including Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Shebaz Sharif, Army Chiefs Asim Munir and others.”
He continued, “We are pleased to announce that the governments of India and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire and will begin talks on various issues in neutral locations. We commend Prime Minister Modi and Sharif for their wisdom and political leadership in opting for peace.”
