Oswaldo Cabrera transported by ambulance due to severe injury

Seattle – Yankees’ Night Turns Sour in Ninth Inning

Things took a serious turn for the Yankees on Monday night during the ninth inning.

Oswald Cabrera crossed home plate on a sacrifice fly, but not without consequences. He had to leave the field on a stretcher after injuring his left foot at Airpusto.

The agile player attempted to dodge the catcher to avoid being tagged out, but it seems his ankles twisted awkwardly as he was returning to the plate.

Cabrera hit the ground and grimaced in pain; his ankles bent in an unnatural way as trainer Tim Renticz quickly rushed to assist him.

Medical staff soon called for an ambulance, and Cabrera remained on the field, visibly in pain, as he lay above T-Mobile Park.

The atmosphere in the Yankees’ dugout was tense, with players showing concern and some burying their heads in their hands.
