Kevin O’Leary Sparks Debate on CNN

On Tuesday, “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary created a stir during a CNN panel discussion. He criticized Kamala Harris’s performance during her 2024 presidential campaign, noting that she lost to then-President Donald Trump after a poor showing in a June debate. O’Leary labeled Harris a “loser,” pointing out that she failed to secure a Democratic nomination during the primaries, and remarked on the discord among CNN panelists.

“They didn’t carry out the process. They chose the loser, and she was massacred for not following through,” O’Leary stated.

Democratic strategist Karen Finney chimed in, saying, “I think you call her the loser and you call her the loser.”

O’Leary continued, saying Harris never went through a proper selection process and should have faced other candidates. Reports indicate that she obtained the necessary support for a Democratic nomination on July 23, 2024, just two days after Biden, but did not accept the nomination.

CNN commentator Bakari Sellers pushed back against O’Leary, insisting there was nothing to be ashamed of regarding Harris. “Let’s put a pin on it,” he added.

Sellers, along with other panelists, challenged O’Leary on what they deemed his disrespect towards Harris. O’Leary defended his remarks, asserting, “I’m not rude! I’m telling the truth! She was slaughtered because she denied the process. They anointed her and she was slaughtered.” He insisted that discussing facts was unnecessary.

CNN host Abbee Philip stepped in for clarification, pointing out that Harris was indeed elected alongside Joe Biden in 2020. However, O’Leary countered, implying that Harris struggled to articulate her points effectively during her campaign.
