Demi Moore recently shared an interesting behind-the-scenes story from her appearance in the 2003 film “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” during an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. Before she agreed to wear a bikini for the role, she had one crucial request: to avoid having camera shots of her backside. “All I can remember is asking them not to shoot me in the ass. I don’t know why it was my obsession,” Moore reflected.
She recounted learning about the bikini scene just three weeks prior to filming. This timeline required her to fully focus on the role rather than worry about how she would look. “I didn’t have the time to think about what I would look like, but that was pretty much good,” she noted, admitting that the pressure was intense.
Barrymore, her co-star from the film, pointed out the remarkable effort it takes to prepare for such a role in just three weeks. Moore, at the age of 40 during filming, confessed she wasn’t quite prepared for the attention that came her way during that time.
Interestingly, it was her three daughters, Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout, who encouraged her to take the role. She recalled taking a break from acting before they pushed her to join the project, expressing that they loved the first “Charlie’s Angels” movie. They even insisted, “You have to do this movie. And you’re not going to work again?”
Reflecting on her career and personal life, Moore mentioned how significant it was for her to present herself as a strong role model for her daughters. In “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” she played Madison Lee, a former angel who turns into a villain. The reboot of “Charlie’s Angels,” which also starred Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu, first hit theaters in 2000.
At the premiere of “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” she was supported by her daughters and ex-husband, Bruce Willis, along with her then-boyfriend, Ashton Kutcher. Moore and Willis, married in 1987, divorced in 2000 and share three daughters. She later married Kutcher in 2005, and they divorced in 2013.
