Legal Claims Involving Justin Bardoni and Blake Lively
Justin Bardoni’s legal team has recently made some serious allegations against actress Blake Lively. They filed documents stating that Lively allegedly threatened her friend, Taylor Swift.
Bardoni’s lawyer, Brian Friedman, claimed that the request for a subpoena directed towards Swift is essential for the case. He suggested that there are sources who might provide credible information regarding Lively’s actions, including hints that Lively asked Swift to delete specific text messages.
In response, Lively’s attorney, Mike Gottlieb, has called these accusations “categorically false.” He expressed confidence that the claims made by Bardoni’s team are unfounded and fueled by anonymous sources. Gottlieb stated they would seek to hold the opposing attorneys accountable for what he deemed misconduct.
The legal standoff escalated in January when Bardoni accused Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of civil terror and defamation, filing a $400 million lawsuit. This came after a previous lawsuit in which Bardoni claimed sexual harassment during the filming of their movie, “It Ends With Us.”
Interestingly, Friedman asserted that Bardoni believes Swift’s involvement is crucial, especially after her legal team reportedly asked Swift to issue a supportive statement for Lively. He posited that if Swift declines, personal messages belonging to Lively could be made public.
Both sides seem equally entrenched, with no signs of settling outside of court, and the matter is set to go to trial in March 2026.
For context, Bardoni and Lively starred together in the movie, which is based on a popular novel by Colleen Hoover. It premiered in August 2024 and has since been embroiled in controversy.
