JoJo Siwa shares details about an unshown conflict with Mickey Rourke on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’

My brother sees everything, but the viewers don’t.

In a recent interview, JoJo Siwa opened up about her ongoing tension with Mickey Rourke after he made some inappropriate remarks regarding her sexuality on “Celebrity Big Brother” last month.

“More has happened than what you’ve seen,” the 21-year-old former “Dance Moms” star stated. “But, you know, it’s the realm of reality TV editing, and it’s a bit intricate, not simply focused on your narrative.”

“They didn’t air some of the key moments with Mickey… they actually presented the contrary,” Siwa elaborated. “In my diary session, he mentioned, ‘That wasn’t my intention. I didn’t want that.’ But when he emerged from the diary room, they told me—that really upset me—no, that was my intention.”

Siwa expressed that she “questioned” the 72-year-old professional boxer about why he would intentionally try to “harm” her.

Rourke reportedly reacted by accusing Siwa of “attacking” him.

“All of this has been cut out,” she reiterated. “That conversation deeply affected me. Comments? I can overlook those. But having a conversation that genuinely hurt me? That’s different.”

“Still, I decided, ‘It’s fine, I’ll make it my mission.’ I won’t be his friend, but I aim to build a sort of friendship with him, because he seems troubled,” she added. “Clearly, something’s not right.”

Siwa recently released a new song titled “Bulletproof,” and she mentioned that, in her opinion, the producers made the right choice in removing Rourke from the show.

“A lot of people think he should have been out sooner,” she noted. “I support the producers’ choice. I really can’t say if they decided to kick him out or if he opted to leave himself. I’m not exactly sure how that unfolded.”

“But it felt like the right time for a change; we needed to hear different stories. Was it enough to have Mickey leave? There were plenty of good moments, and I wouldn’t trade them for his expulsion after that remark.”

“And maybe I’m alone on that island,” Siwa mused. “But I believe every journey has a purpose. Yes, he was tough to deal with, but honestly? His comment was easier to handle than cleaning up after him in the kitchen.”

“When he left, it genuinely felt like a weight lifted. The anxiety vanished, and things got really enjoyable,” she concluded.

When “Big Brother” dismissed Rourke, they cited that his “language and behavior were threatening,” indicating that such conduct would not be tolerated.

The actor labeled his behavior as “embarrassing” during his diary session and also extended an apology to Siwa for what had transpired.
