On Thursday, Fox News host Harris Faulkner engaged with former Pennsylvania Democrat Pat Murphy. Recently, several publications have provided insights into President Biden’s health, delving into the extent of his cognitive decline during his presidency. One book, titled *Original Sin*, notably mentions that Biden did not recognize actor George Clooney, a long-time supporter. Murphy’s comments came after GOPAC Chairman David Avella highlighted that Democrats who had previously dismissed concerns about Biden’s health prior to the November 2024 elections have since acknowledged the issues, with some even finding benefit from the book.
“Looking back to 2020, I was actually in favor of Secretary Pete Buttigieg,” Murphy noted, recalling Buttigieg’s strong performances in Iowa and New Hampshire. He pointed out that what might be labeled as a conspiracy theory isn’t necessarily that; it seems more like individuals aiming for power, perhaps in a way that’s not entirely graceful.
Faulkner interjected, asserting, “This is politics. It’s a blood sport. You’re a kind soul, but do you honestly think they were just being nice?”
According to an article from the Wall Street Journal, on December 19, 2024, it was revealed that Biden had become somewhat isolated, even from his cabinet, as concerns around his health and cognitive abilities grew. Earlier in the year, there was notable media pushback before Biden eventually announced he would not be seeking re-election on July 21.
“Both parties had members in the inner circle,” Murphy remarked, acknowledging the complexities of the situation. “You’ve got to be able to see the truth.”
Murphy further clarified, “I don’t view this as a conspiracy theory.” Faulkner responded simply, "That’s okay."There have been repeated questions about the transparency of Biden’s health from the White House during his term. Biden has, on multiple occasions, made comments that raised eyebrows, such as speaking about deceased figures, including former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, who passed away in 2017, and former French President François Mitterrand, who died in 1996.
Additionally, at a White House event in September 2022 regarding hunger, Biden mistakenly referred to Republican lawmakers in Indiana shortly after a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and two staff members.
In response to previous falls, Biden has begun using alternate stairways on the VC-25, adapting the modified Boeing 747 to better suit his age as he faced challenges, including a notable fall at the Air Force Academy in June 2023 and previous bike falls.
