Digital news platform leads in April with significant growth across all important measures.

Fox News Digital maintained its lead over liberal media competitors throughout April, attracting a significant number of unique visitors. As reported by ComScore, the platform had about 130 million unique visitors across multiple platforms, reflecting a 25% increase compared to April 2024. In contrast, CNN saw a decline, with 89 million unique visitors, marking a 16% drop from the previous year. The New York Times reported 71 million unique visitors, which is a 3% decrease from last year.

In terms of total views, Fox News Digital generated an impressive 1.9 billion multi-platform views in April, a rise of 26% from last year. The New York Times recorded 1.6 billion views but did not grow on that front compared to the previous year, while CNN reported a drop of 1 billion views, an 18% decrease.

Fox News Digital topped all major news brands in critical metrics for the first quarter of 2025.

Additionally, Fox News Digital surpassed its rivals by a substantial margin, boasting around 3.9 billion in overall multi-platform share, which is a 31% increase from the prior April. CNN’s total fell to 1.4 billion while The New York Times stood at 1.3 billion, each down by about 17-18% year over year.

Fox News Digital also outperformed ABC News and NBC News across all metrics in April.

On YouTube, Fox News enjoyed its highest quarter ever, with views more than doubling to 326 million compared to last April.

On social media, Fox News dominated as the most interactive news brand, achieving 75.4 million social interactions in April, which is a staggering 203% increase from the previous year, according to data from Emplifi. Almost 54 million interactions originated from Facebook, with Instagram reflecting an astounding 532% growth, while 3.4 million came from X.

In the wider context, Fox News Digital, alongside CBS News, NBC News, The Washington Post, and ABC News, has not aligned with brands like CNN or The New York Times but has highlighted the increase in total multi-platform visitors.
