WNBA Champions Face Uncertain Future

While the Liberty claimed victory in the 2024 WNBA Finals, the league’s latest survey of general managers suggests there isn’t widespread optimism for a repeat.

This time around, the Lynx emerged as the favorites, garnering 60% of the predictions for the upcoming season. The Liberty, last year’s champions, were tied for third with 20%, while both the Fever and ACE received 10% of the votes.

Interestingly, even though the Liberty boasts a strong lineup with returning stars like Breanna Stewart, Jonquel Jones, and Sabrina Ionescu, the predictions indicate a lack of confidence in their title defense.

However, the Liberty don’t perceive their situation as one of being underestimated this season. They’ve got their sights set high, and they’re ready to prove themselves again.
