Former CIA Director Defends Comey Against Violence Allegations
On Friday, John Brennan, the former CIA director, appeared on MSNBC’s “Deadline” to address recent remarks made by former FBI director James Comey regarding President Donald Trump. Brennan stated that Comey has not suggested any form of violence in his social media comments.
Brennan expressed his thoughts on the matter, saying, “It’s not surprising that someone like Tulsi Gabbard would make such claims, but there’s really no reason for the Director of National Intelligence to even comment on this situation. Jim Comey worked closely with him during his time in office, and he should be the one facing legal consequences.”
He firmly asserted, “There is absolutely no way that Jim Comey has ever advocated violence against the President of the United States.”
Brennan concluded by saying, “I think he effectively countered the post.”
