Notable pastor exposed for running a network of accounts to attack his own elders

Scandal Involving Georgia Church Leader

Josh Buice, the senior pastor at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia, and president of G3 Ministries, is now at the center of an unusual scandal.

It isn’t your typical story—instead of falling into a moral failing, it’s more of an online controversy. Ally Beth Stucky, a well-known figure, expressed surprise upon learning the news.

Earlier this month, Buice took an indefinite leave from his church and stepped down from his role at G3 Ministries.

Stucky admitted to being taken aback, noting her admiration for the organization and Buice. As an evangelical, she had expected different behavior from him.

She felt unsettled to uncover that Buice had, it seems, spent years trolling fellow Christians online.

The church issued an official statement indicating that its elders had discovered undeniable evidence of Buice managing at least four anonymous social media accounts, two untraceable email addresses, and two Substack platforms in the past three years. These accounts were allegedly used to anonymously slander many Christian leaders, including several pastors associated with G3 and even some PMBC elders. The statement pointed out that these actions not only conveyed a lack of integrity but also fostered division and unnecessary conflict within the church community.

The statement also made it clear that, although Buice was questioned multiple times about the accounts, he consistently denied having any involvement until the elders presented him with substantial evidence linking him to those actions.

Stucky said she appreciated the G3 leadership for making these matters public, especially when it might have been easier to sweep them under the rug and pretend nothing happened.

For those interested in further details on the scandal, a video episode has been provided above.
