Playboy twins reveal the hidden truth behind mansion luxury with Hugh Hefner

Revelations from Former Playboy Twins

For four years, Carissa and Christina Shannon, former Playboy Playmates, seemed to live an idyllic life at the Playboy Mansion with Hugh Hefner. However, beneath that glamorous surface, the twins were grappling with numerous traumatic experiences fueled by jealousy and betrayal.

Originally from Florida, the twins were discovered at ages 16 and 18. Just two years later, they moved into the mansion, joining Hefner and other established Playmates, including Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson. Christina recalled, “It was my 19th birthday when I actually connected with Hef.”

“We were teenagers,” added Carissa. “It felt like we were completely out of our comfort zone. We didn’t have fake enhancements — we were all natural, just trying to make it. Being a Playmate felt like our biggest deal.” But soon after they arrived, they felt intimidated by other women in the mansion.

“These girls were so mean, and we didn’t know how to react,” Christina recounted. The glamorous life they had envisioned quickly turned sour, especially during a time when an STD outbreak occurred. Christina pointed out, “Hefner didn’t use condoms. If anyone got chlamydia, it was like, ‘Oh, we were just 18 and got chlamydia.'”

They experienced so much anxiety, thinking, “This isn’t normal.” Carissa echoed these sentiments, expressing frustration with Hefner’s dismissive attitude toward their concerns. “He said when you’re sexually active, that’s what happens,” Christina recalled. They learned that they couldn’t fully trust what he said and had to be cautious about their health.

Complications escalated when Carissa discovered, at 20, that she was pregnant. “I didn’t want them to know; my first thought was to keep it under wraps because I didn’t want to deal with Hef’s reaction.” This led to a pivotal and emotional decision for her.

Recalling that time, Christina mentioned how their only support came from a friend, Juicy J, who helped them during Carissa’s abortion. Afterward, the twins found themselves filming promotional material while still reeling from their experiences. “I was so scared and confused,” Carissa admitted, as feelings of trauma intertwined with her relationship with her sister.

By their early twenties, the twins decided they could no longer stay in the mansion. “It was scary for us. We felt like we lost who we were,” Christina reflected. They acknowledged that people expected them to go through a phase similar to what they called the “Anna Nicole stage.” They struggled with unhealthy habits, feeling lost, and even contemplating drastic actions.

As they now settle in Michigan, the twins are focusing on healing — from daily meditations to healthier eating habits. “We’ve gone through a healing journey that took years. Michigan has truly changed us,” Christina said. They are currently exploring creative avenues for the future, wanting something genuine and unfiltered, whether it be a talk show or a podcast.
