Hamas Leader Thought To Be Dead In Israeli Attack Aiming At Safe Haven Under Hospital

Israeli Strike Likely Kills Hamas Leader

Senior Israeli officials believe that Hamas leader Mohamed Singhwar may have been killed in a recent Israeli airstrike in Gaza. Singhwar was reportedly the brother of the mastermind behind the October 7th terrorist attacks. Israeli Defense Minister Katz mentioned, based on available information, that Singhwar is dead.

The airstrike targeted Singhwar’s hideout, which was located beneath a European hospital in Karn Eunice, according to reports.

While Hamas health officials reported that at least six individuals have died and around 40 were injured in the attack, they have not confirmed if Singhwar is among the deceased.

In addition, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced they had begun an extensive ground operation throughout both northern and southern Gaza Strip, focusing on Hamas’ defense infrastructure, including weapons facilities and missile launchers.

Singhwar’s potential death comes during a period of informal ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas. Reports also suggest that the commander of the Rafa Brigade, Mohamad Shabana, a member of Hamas’ military unit, may have been killed in the same strike.
