Donald Trump Plans Investigation into Kamala Harris’ Celebrity Supporters

Trump Announces Investigations Into Harris and Celebrities

Washington: President Donald Trump stated on Monday his intent to initiate a “large-scale investigation” concerning his 2024 election opponent, Kamala Harris, as well as launching a “major investigation” into celebrities who have not participated in the presidential race.

He expressed his concerns on the Truth Social Platform, claiming, “Candidates are not permitted to pay for approval, which is essentially what Kamala did under the guise of financing entertainment.” He added, “I would like to request a thorough investigation on this matter.”

Harris has sought the support of prominent figures like Beyoncé and Oprah Winfrey during her campaign.

In defense of a $1 million payment from the Harris campaign to a production company, Winfrey clarified that the funds were designated for expenses related to her hosting of presidential candidates.

Meanwhile, Harris’ team has refuted speculation that they paid Beyoncé $10 million for her appearance at a rally.

According to the campaign’s financial disclosures, there was $75 reported in approval-related spending related to environmental advocacy groups.

Trump, who won comfortably in the previous election, noted that he received limited backing from the broader entertainment industry but did engage a focused group of well-known influencers, including podcast host Joe Rogan.

On Monday, the president zeroed in on Beyoncé, Winfrey, and Bruce Springsteen, accusing Harris of compensating the rock icon to attend a Georgia rally shortly before the election.

He asked, “How much did Kamala Harris pay Bruce Springsteen for his lackluster performance during his presidential campaign?” and added, “If he genuinely supports her, why did he take that money?”

Last week, Trump had a heated exchange with Springsteen, who referred to his hometown as governed by a “corrupted, incompetent, rebellious regime” during a concert in Britain.

In response, the 78-year-old Republican labeled Springsteen, often called “the boss,” as “very overrated.” Springsteen has been a vocal critic of Trump and aligned himself with the Democratic party after Harris replaced President Joe Biden in his abandoned reelection efforts.
