The family of a U.S. Air Force veteran who faced wrongful detention in Venezuela from November 2024 until Tuesday has confirmed his release.
Joseph St. Clair, a veteran who served four tours in Afghanistan and hails from Hansville, Washington, went missing in November while receiving PTSD treatment in Colombia.
“The news was quite unexpected, and we’re still processing it, but honestly, we’re just filled with joy and gratitude,” said his parents, Scott and Patty St. Clair.
The family also expressed their appreciation to President Trump and his administration for facilitating St. Clair’s release.
