Biden’s cancer diagnosis: Correspondence

Issue: Former President Joe Biden’s “aggressive” metastatic prostate cancer diagnosis.

The team surrounding former President Joe Biden has repeatedly claimed that he is fit to serve (May 20, “The ‘Doctor’ Message”).

This raises questions—one could argue he needs to either mislead the public or possibly switch his medical team.

As a prostate cancer survivor, I can empathize with Biden, yet two major concerns linger in my mind.

First, considering how advanced the disease seems, his doctors must have been aware of it for years. Why would they keep such crucial information from the public?

Secondly, it makes you wonder if Jill and Hunter Biden were in the loop about Joe’s health and chose to mislead everyone during his presidency.

And let’s say he didn’t opt out of the 2024 election and somehow won against Trump—can you picture him stepping down and leaving Vice President Kamala Harris, who many consider lacking in intellect, in charge?

As a 72-year-old doctor with my own experience of prostate cancer, I find it hard to believe Biden wasn’t aware of his diagnosis.

Standard procedure includes PSA blood tests for all men over 50. As a senator, then vice president, and eventually president, he would definitely have had access to this test.

The presence of bone metastases indicates that this cancer has likely been progressing for quite a while.

I’m not usually cynical; I feel for him. Still, I can’t help but feel doubtful about his cancer being diagnosed at such an advanced stage.

I don’t want to sound harsh, but my belief in good faith doesn’t extend to wishing ill on Biden.

This prostate cancer diagnosis feels like just another cover-up tied to a longstanding pattern from Biden’s camp.

Honestly, I’m relieved he’s stepping back from the race. If he runs and wins, there’s a real chance that Harris could inherit the presidency very soon.

Thank you for bowing out, Joe, and best wishes.

President Trump has claimed that Biden’s cancer diagnosis is being concealed. If that’s true, it constitutes a serious cover-up on the part of Biden and his team. But it’s too late for revisiting those issues.

From here on, Trump should set an example and make his medical records available. Future presidents should do the same; it could foster trust among Americans who are weary of being deceived.

When it comes to Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis and his statements regarding cognitive capabilities, this could potentially be one of the largest cover-ups in U.S. history.

From misleading the public on these fronts to the overall impact on four years of policy, it raises significant concerns about accountability.

People should really question how relevant Americans were to Biden’s handling of his illness while in office.

Setting aside political affiliations, Joe Biden deserved genuine, compassionate care, not just to be a figurehead in the Oval Office.

I sympathize with Biden’s situation, but I can’t help but question why his team has let the issue escalate to this point.

My own doctor noticed a rise in my PSA levels two decades ago and quickly referred me to a urologist, who explored options like radiation and hormone therapy. I haven’t had cancer yet.

This leads to the pressing question: Why didn’t Biden’s medical team act sooner?

It seems they had little interest in being transparent with the public.

Now, he’s engaged in a serious struggle for his health.
