Hunter Biden’s Encounter with Jake Tapper
Hunter Biden had a heated exchange with CNN’s Jake Tapper, telling him to “go f-k” himself while dealing with the grief of losing his brother, Beau Biden.
In a recent interview, Hunter, 55, discussed this long-standing tension with Tapper after the journalist reportedly didn’t cover his side of the story adequately.
“It’s one of the hardest times of my life, and it’s impossible to forget it,” Hunter expressed, reflecting on that difficult period.
Sources indicate that the conflict began in 2015 when Tapper persistently reached out to Hunter while he was at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, as his brother was gravely ill with brain cancer.
According to reports, Hunter responded curtly when Tapper later attempted to follow up with blocked calls.
A few years afterward, they encountered each other at the 2018 Super Bowl in Minneapolis, where observers noted their tense interactions.
Witnesses reported Hunter placing his arm on Tapper’s shoulder and threatening to “knock you out” if they weren’t in a public setting, which seemed to be a response to the earlier barrage of calls.
In contrast, Tapper denied the focus of his calls being about Beau’s death, clarifying that their confrontation at the Super Bowl was related to negative media coverage involving Hunter’s drug issues and divorce.
“Hunter approached me at a Super Bowl event, but it was regarding a different matter. He thought I had reported on a divorce petition involving a prostitute, which I hadn’t,” Tapper revealed.
