Building America’s Future Applauds Veto of Oklahoma Bill on Minor Transition Program

A new ad campaign celebrates Oklahoma Governor J. Kevin Stitt’s veto, which limits his state’s participation in the Federal 340B program.

This conservative nonprofit began advertising this week, expressing gratitude towards President Donald Trump and Republican Senator Mark Wayne Mullin for opposing the bill, which they claim protects taxpayers.

The state-wide ads, funded by a significant budget, focus on alleged corruption within the 340B program.

“Fraud, waste, and abuse—there’s plenty to go around. The 340B program is among the worst crafted by Washington. This program benefits health executives while the cost falls on taxpayers,” says the ad’s narrator.

“However, President Trump and Senator Mullin are working to change that, with Governor Stitt alongside them. Stitt has stood firm for taxpayers by refusing to expand the 340B program.”

Stitt’s veto stated that “The issues within HB 2048 need significant reform at the federal level to enhance transparency.”

“I’m aware President Trump is tackling this. It’s a congressional responsibility, and I’m not in favor of making it a debate over contracts or picking sides,” he added. “Thus, I’ve vetoed House Bill 2048.”

In April, Breitbart News highlighted a previously unreported presentation where Sanford Health, “the largest rural health system in the U.S.,” was found to be utilizing the 340B program for minors.

Sanford Health had previously claimed to offer “endocrinology and hormone transition care” along with “gender surgeries.”

Even after removing some information, a December presentation by a Sanford psychologist discussed transgender surgeries on Minnesota minors. It touched on topics like physical alterations, puberty blockers, and hormones, relating to the distribution of medications in North Dakota, referred to as “affirmation” by some.

Screenshots from the presentation illustrated concepts like “gender unicorns” and various references to “gender identity,” examining distinctions of “sex assigned at birth.” One section confusedly categorized “sexual unicorns,” highlighting traits such as “physically fascinated” and “emotionally fascinated.”

In 2023, Sanford Health admitted that the 340B program “is essential” for its services and emphasizes the importance of “stretching limited healthcare dollars.”
