Neal McDonough Explains How God Inspired the Story of ‘The Last Rodeo’ – Video

Actor Neil McDonough describes his upcoming film as a portrayal of America’s Heartland, infused with the values of faith, family, and work ethic that he grew up with. The film, titled Last Rodeo, produced by Angel Studio, features McDonough as Joe Wainwright, a retired bull rider who returns to the arena for one final ride. His motivation? To gather funds after a personal family tragedy. Along this journey, Wainwright not only faces his own past traumas but also rekindles his faith. The film is set to premiere this weekend.

This project was developed by McDonough’s own independent production company.

“Hollywood seems, well, a bit lost. I know I’m part of a somewhat darker film landscape, which might have made them forget to highlight true American values,” he expressed in an interview with Crosswalk. “But we aimed to reclaim that perspective,” McDonough added. “And I believe we succeeded.”
