Tragic Shooting at Jewish Museum in D.C.
On Wednesday night, at least two staff members from the Israeli Embassy were reportedly shot and killed outside the Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C.
According to a Jewish insider, the incident occurred during an event featuring a young Israeli diplomat.
Sources familiar with the situation confirmed the deaths of the embassy employees at this tragic scene. Eyewitnesses mentioned that the shooter shouted “free Palestine” during the altercation.
One witness detailed how the suspect entered the museum after the shooting, asking for water and claiming to need a safe space, before being taken away by police.
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, condemned the act, labeling it “anti-Semitic terrorism.” He expressed despair over the shootings, stating they represent a serious threat to the Jewish community. Danon is hopeful that U.S. authorities will take decisive action against those involved.
Ted Ducci, the CEO of the American Jewish Commission, described the violence as “indescribable” and emphasized their concern for the victims and their families. He noted that they are awaiting more information from law enforcement.
Information from local media indicates that police are conducting interviews with persons of interest and advising caution in the area in light of this tragic incident.
